Mitsubishi Electric to Establish New Factory in India for Factory Automation Control System Products Increases production capacity in India to meet growing demand in the local market

Mitsui & Co., Ltd. acquired a local manufacturer of FA Control Systems in 2012. Since then, Mitsui & Co., Ltd.’s FA Control Systems business in India has strengthened its local business structure by setting up a local engineering team, increasing its service and support capabilities, as well as starting local manufacturing of products in 2013.
Mitsubishi Electric plans to invest around $1 billion in its first plant in India, which will be located in an industrial park in Pune. The company expects to create 1,500 jobs at the site, including 450 direct positions. Construction is expected to begin next year and the facility is scheduled to start producing in 2020.
