Indonesian QuickCommerce Startup Astro Raises Million
Astro, a quick-commerce company that offers 15 minute grocery deliveries, has raised $60M in Series B funding round. Existing investors AC Venture, Global Founders Capital, LightSpeed and Sequoia Capital also participated in the funding. The fresh fund will help them improve the customer service and increase the team size in 2022, says CEO and Co-founder Ravi Iyengar. “We are excited about our growth plans and we are confident that this investment will enable us to execute our strategy,” he adds.
Astro’s grocery delivery service is designed to help consumers save money on groceries. By partnering with local grocers, Astro aims to bring fresh produce and other goods directly to consumers’ homes. Astro’s goal is to deliver groceries within 15 minutes of ordering. Astro plans to expand to additional cities in 2019.
